The wrap up of the EGE COD:WWII ACGL event

The EGE the past weekend has been an experience to remember as Ladon.Ascend went on to win the Silver Plate that sees them seed 9th for the tournament.

After arriving at Cape-Town on friday the team enjoyed a very professional Photoshoot with their new Ladon gaming jerseys. From there they went to the EGE expo to set up and familiarize themselves with the conditions to ensure they have the best possible chance of bringing in a good result.

The Players enjoyed a fantastic dinner at the end of the night and had to get some rest for the important games awaiting them on Saturday!

Ladon.Ascend was drawn in a very difficult group with teams such as WRG and Royal e-Sports who both compete at the premier level in the VS Gaming League. The guys were ready to face this challenge and prove themselves to be one of the best Call of Duty teams in South-Africa as they first went up against Royal e-Sports.

Unfortunately our boys went down 2-3 against Royal e-Sports after a tightly contested match.

Next up was a team they have never faced before so they were uncertain of what to expect. They professionally beat Boar 3-0 to giving them hope in finishing 2nd within their group.

That was not to be as they were beat by WRG in their last group game 0-3 which then placed them 3rd in the group. They would be playing for 9th place overall in the Silver Plate addition of the tournament on Sunday.

After a good night’s rest the guys were motivated to perform better than the previous day.

First up was Capo e-Sports who were also a very competitive team at the event. Fortunately Ladon.Ascend could take an impressive 3-0 victory that ensured they had a chance to play in the Silver Plate final.

GO2 Gaming was the competitors Ladon.Ascend was set to face in the final and it was not going to be an easy win what so ever as GO2 was determined to get the win. But with good teamwork and communication our boys took the win 3-1 and subsequently took home the 9th place finish for the event.

The team was pleased with their strong finish however they did feel they could have done better.

From Ladon e-Sports we want to congratulate Ladon.Ascend for their results as well as their professional conduct!
